Leaning towards these right now. They seem to have very good reviews while also being reasonable priced., plus a 70$ rebate.
Hey yall I need some help finding winter tires, seems like the market has disappeared. My E34 530 to 540i swap is nearing completion and so I’m starting to look for some winter tires to use for it as it will be my main daily. (The clownshoe will be parked for some much needed TLC, maintenance, and to install the headers and upgraded intake manifold I’ve had sitting in my garage for months)
I was hoping to use the stock tire size for my snowflake wheels which is a 225/60r15 but I cant find a single winter tire in that size. Does anyone know of anywhere to find such a thing, maybe I haveg to go outside the North American market? I would also be okay if it was a downsized tire as long as it still worked properly and fit the rim but I’m not really sure what sizes work. I appreciate any assistance or ideas

only one I can find. Don’t know how good they are. Might be better to go +1 with some cheap 16" wheels.
edit: that might be your only option, there’s absolutely nothing in your +1 size (245/50-R16

this website will help out big time figuring out wheel fitment:

My suggestion would be to go find a pair of 16" wheels and get some winter tires on those. It’s what I did with my E39 and the winter tires are just so cheap for 16" wheels. 15" you are going to have trouble finding good winter tires that are wide enough. It was a pain in the butt for me to find winter tires for my Miata with 15" wheels.

This might be a stretch, but would a 215 width be applicable? That yields some winter choices in 215/60r 15

Would those fit properly though? I run blizzaks on the Z3 and love them (sadly they discontinued that size so when I need another set in a season or two im SOL)

Do you know how wide your wheels are? If you went to 205/65 R15 (which you probably can unless your wheels are extremely wide), you have a lot of options, including these heavily discounted Blizzaks: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Bridgestone&tireModel=Blizzak+WS80&partnum=065TR5WS80&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes

At least according to here: https://tiresize.com/calculator/ 205/65R15 should be good up to 7.5" wide wheels, so it seems like they should be fine on 7". Obviously there’s some penalty for having 10% less width, but for snow tires there are benefits to be narrower as well.

The last thing I want is another set of wheels haha. Luckily I think I can downsize to 195 and they should fit.

depends on how wide the factory wheels are. they are almost dead on for diameter

Calculator I linked to says those will fit on 7" (barely). Diameter is 2.3% smaller, but that doesn’t seem enough to be a huge problem (your speedometer and odometer would be off by that much). Personally I’d probably still do 205/65R15 over 195/65R15.

Yeah, those should fit fine, they are 8.5 inches wide.
